Welcome to The Barbelle Project, a female strength training group! We love lifting weights and challenging ourselves to get stronger, fitter, healthier and gain confidence along the way. The Barbelle Project started as a plan to share our passion and inspire women to embrace weight training no matter their training goal, join us on this journey.
Strength training is so important for all women, no matter where they are in their life and fitness journey, our mission is to empower women of all ages and abilities to safely join us in the weight room. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced lifter, want to get stronger, look better or just improve the quality of your life, we have a programme for you.
You can join our team programme and get coached by our certified trainers, or purchase a programme and follow it at your own pace. All our programmes are delivered through Train Heroic, a platform that helps you track your progress and connect with other members. Craig Coggle MSc ASCC
My coaching journey has been a bit of a rollercoaster journey, starting out in group exercise and slowly progressing through various courses and accreditations to where I am now, with my Masters Degree in Strength and Conditioning. As an athlete, I come from an international rugby and endurance sports background. As a coach I have trained athletes of all levels from a wide variety of sports, and non sporting backgrounds, and I was part of the England coaching team at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships in 2019 and 2022 and continue to be part of the GB Powerlifting coaching team. I believe the key to success is consistency, and consistency starts with a good programme that you are able to realistically achieve. I have had the pleasure of watching many people blossom from good training, both physically and mentally, and I want to deliver this to as many people as possible.
